Words are like medicine to the bones but it can also mutilate the mind, body and the spirit. Instead of speaking negatively over others choose to declare a word of hope over them or the situation. Words spoken can lead to pain, shame and even disappointment but they can also be an expression of victories and testimonies. The bible says the tongue as the power of life and death in it; so, choose to declare life and avoid pronouncement of death over others even those that are considered as your enemies. Your haters may attempt to cripple up the things that concerns you but God will not allow them to block up what He has already prepared for you. Be reminded of the fact, that when God created the earth all He did was speak the words and the things came into being. What God has spoken and declare no man, no witch, and no medium can deny it because that word must go forth to its destination and prosper in that thing. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
Subsequently, whenever the words on the tip of your tongues are not positive it is better if you remain silent because you will be considered wise. Words spoken in the atmosphere takes root and breathes either good or evil. Let the words of your mouth and heart be acceptable in the sight of the God in heaven. It is best when you desire good things for everyone and not just yourself or your family. Practicing to be judgmental is not godly – instead you should leave room for God to come in and be the judge and not render evil for evil. You should always do unto others as you would like them to do unto you by showing love and not envying them until it breathes venom in your mouth. Exercising the fruits of the spirit will lead to blessings and not cursing. The word of God says, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another and envying one another.” (Galatians 5:22, 26)
Being kind to only people that you have a special likeness for or relationship with is wrong because Jesus taught us to live peaceably with all men. God does not discriminate and neither should you; God does not show favoritism and neither should you. Let God arise in your life and circumstances. Your situation may be your health but instead of waking up every morning and say oh, I am sick start declaring that you are healed by the blood of Jesus. On the other hand you may be unemployed or your marriage may be on the verge of breaking apart and the bills may be stacking up but do not allow that to get you down. Instead put on your praise shoes and begin to thank God for the breakthrough that is on the way. Regardless of the mountain that is in front of you walk by your faith and not by your sight; choose to make declarations that brings hope and life to the situation. Refrain from negativity and you will enjoy God’s great favor and grace. Focusing on God and not the problem will allow you to experience the greatness of God and you will see His hand in the little that you have. He will cause the little to stretch and become much and exalt you in His set season.
“Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.” 1 John 3:21-23
