Life is God’s greatest gift to man – there is nothing on the earth that can be compared to the breath that you take every waking moment of your life. Proverbs 14:27 says, “The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.” Life is not something that people can buy and it is not a game that you trade in when it does not turn out the way you expected it to. If money could extend one’s life many of us wouldn’t be among the living today; but God in His infinite wisdom love us enough to show us grace and give us life even when we have done bad. None of us are saints, we are all imperfect human beings; we are bound to make mistakes but we should not allow sin to become a milestone around our necks.
Live your life to impact a generation and leave a lasting legacy behind long after you’re gone. It’s not the big things that you do for someone, but it is about the life that you brought transformation to. You should always strive to help and support others along the way as you journey through life. James 4:14-15 says, “ How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” Life is not about stepping on everybody else to get to the top – it’s about the amount of hands you held through the storm, the shoulder you gave during adversity, the listening ears that you extended, the kindness you show to others and the compassion that you expressed to your neighbors, friends and even enemies. One act of kindness can change a person’s life forever but displaying an attitude of bitterness can bring forth pain, anger and danger.
Life has good and evil, blessings and cursing, it’s up to you to choose to live your life without animosity but with love in your heart. You have been reconciled to God through His Son Jesus so that you might be saved and inherit eternal life – live today with an expectancy for God’s appearance yet plan for the future that is filled with immeasurable blessings. Subsequently, the Lord granted life to you for a reason and it is not to be wasted away in doing things that are evil in the eyes of the Lord. Rather, you must build relationships, forgive others and rejoice in what you do have in your life – pray for what you do not yet see, believe God for the impossible and watch God pour out His manifested glory in your life.
“For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust. Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone— as though we had never been here.” Psalm 103:14-16
Prayer: Father we thank you today, for the life that you have given us. Forgive us for the mistakes we have done and the sins we have committed. Father help us to appreciate the life we do have and prepare us for that which you have in store for us. Father thank you for your blessings that adds to our lives and does not bring us sorrow in Jesus name. AMEN
