Often time’s people look at their life and say I don’t have much – I wish I had the nice house with the white picket fence or I wish I had that Lamborghini or that Bentley that I have always dreamed about. While others on the on the other hand wished they had diamonds and precious gems lying around but regardless of what you have God can turn it into much. God have a way of stretching the little when you include Him in it – He makes the little do what the much could not. Just think about the widow in the book of Kings that lost her husband when she saw the prophet Elisha she told him about what she was faced with. She is no different from many people today who are faced with bankruptcy, foreclosure, repossession, unemployment and various kinds of misfortunes. However, the prophet told her to look around in her house for something and she thought I only have a little oil – little did she know that God was setting her up to be blessed and you will too. The prophet told the woman to go around and collect empty jars from her neighbors and she did in obedience. She kept pouring oil until she had no other container to fill up and then the man of God told her to sell the oil and pay of her debt. (Reference 2 Kings 4: 1-7) Guess what? She did just as she was told and was able to live comfortably after that. That poor widow like many others found out by walking in faith that when God put His hand on something it becomes bless and the cankerworms cannot enter in to eat from it.
Even with your letter you should strive to bless the house of God. In God’s sight you are giving much because it is considered as sacrificial. Do not be concerned with others that have much to give – you focus on yourself and give cheerful and God will bless you for what you have done. Luke 21:1-4 says, “Jesus looked up and saw rich men putting their money into the money box in the house of God. He saw a poor woman whose husband had died. She put in two very small pieces of money. He said, “I tell you the truth, this poor woman has put in more than all of them. For they have put in a little of the money they had no need for. She is very poor and has put in all she had. She has put in what she needed for her own living.” Trusting God with your seed offering will cause Him to open up the windows of heaven and pour out blessing after blessing on your life and those in your blood line.
God wants to bless you in your current state – reevaluate your circumstances and ask God to show you what you have in your possession that can turn out for your good. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all that is in it, the world, and all who live in it.” God is always in the blessing business therefore, you have to stay in position so that you do not miss your season for the overflow. God is great and mighty yet He is often limited by your emotions and ideas. God is all powerful and no chains can hold Him down, no circumstance is ever too big for Him and no valley is too wide for Him to get across. What does that mean to you? It’s time to remove the blinders and see God for Who He really is! He is the God of possibilities and He never takes a break. People often take a break from the things that God has called and destined for them to do when they experience setbacks. However, God want to be included in the mess as well as the blessing – don’t toss Him aside because you encounter challenges. Rather seek His face for divine revelation on how to resolve the issues and perfect that which you are seeking to accomplish. Psalm 138: 8 says, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” You are a good and perfect gift that was created by God to achieve greatness so take nothing for granted but be grateful for everything.
As you present your little before God, keep in mind that the mess that you may think you are in today could be God’s great message to the next generation. You might be saying I have bad credit and no one is going to extend credit to me with a report like this. Well, do not worry about credit with man seek after credit with the King of glory because when He grants you favor not even the one with the million dollar account can stand against you and block you or stop you. The scripture in Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessings of the Lord makes rich and had no sorrow to you.” Do not allow others to quantify your worth because you are priceless. Never settle for less than what you are worth just because you have less than the other person. God knows you by name and He will come through and anoint the little for you and make room for you before great people. Step away from mediocrity and rise up with a spirit of excellence and be your best you. Avoid trying to walk in someone else foot steps rather create your own foot prints and God will establish them as your journey in your life. The next dimension is at your finger tips all you have to do is reach for it and God will push you into it because little is much when God’s hand is in it.
“Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do. Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?” Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.” John 6:1-15
