Why do we criticize the sister that is putting in the time and trying to get up? As sisters we should be our sisters keeper and covering, not the back stabber that creates drama and unnecessary pain in her life. Keep your heart pure towards your sister, pour into her what you would like to be poured into you. If you would not treat yourself unkind, you don’t treat your sister unkind either—you give a shoulder and love on her. This is what we should think about, “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.” Matthew 7:12 ESV
Why do we constantly remind the sister about her past? Girl, please don’t bring up the vomit of yesterday to your sister. If your sister was a drug addict, a prostitute or a side chick at one point but she made some changes and turned her life over to God, STOP IT, leave her alone, give her a chance to catch her breath. So, what if she is still that girl on the side just getting the ride, don’t talk about her. She is work in progress as you are! Pray daily for your sister’s deliverance and encourage her out of the lifestyle with a spirit of meekness. God will meet you in that place with her and do the work in her. This is what we should never forget, “And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11 ESV
Why do we get jealous when another sister is getting elevated? It’s a good thing to be a GOALDigger! So, if your sister has her goals and she is being strategic in pursuing them, do not get jealous, cover your sister, wash her vision down with prayer and declare the Word of God over her. Be happy for her when the elevation comes and celebrate her, do not become resentful and hateful. Those are not the characteristics of God, when you can sincerely celebrate others, God will lift you up and place your feet on a blessed ground. This is what we should avoid, “But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.” James 3:14-16 ESV
Sisters we are daughters of the Sovereign God of Heaven, we are beautiful jewels in His crown. Let us show our sisters more love and take the time to unleash your powerful WORD Bank to declare life over her and in her vision. Each of us has a mantle to walk in and a mission to accomplish and we need each other to run the race well.
Great article as women we need to care more about each other…Love it
GREAT ADVICE We must be our sister’s keeper; treat each other as we would a biological sister; help the weak if we are strong and remember before we speak or act ask ourselves what would Yeshua do and do the same. Thank you sister for these thoughtful words. May the Lord continue to use you for his glory. SHALOM.
